Every agent gets a job description before it gets built

We treat agents the way a good manager treats people. Nobody gets hired without a job description, a manager, and a review. Nobody gets deployed without one either.

Put an agent into an undisciplined workflow and the agent amplifies the mess. The job description is where the discipline lives:

  • One owner. A named person accountable for the agent’s performance and adoption.
  • One number. The metric it is hired against, with a baseline and a target date.
  • One boundary. What is explicitly not its job. Relationships, judgment, and creative work stay human.
  • Three review dates. Day 30, 60, and 90. Rebuild, retire, or expand.

The example is a Meeting Prep Agent. Its job is simple: no seller walks into a client conversation cold. If half the briefs go unopened at day 60, the format changes. At day 90, the agent goes.
