What we collect when you visit
We use a third-party analytics provider. The provider records the pages you open, the links you click, your approximate location, your browser and device, your IP address, and the site that sent you here.
The same provider also records sessions on this site. A session recording plays back the movement of your cursor, the pages you move through, and the actions you take. Text that you type into form fields is masked and does not appear in the recording. Recordings are deleted after 30 days.
We use a third-party visitor-identification provider to work out the company a visitor works for. The provider matches the IP address of your visit against its own records to find the organization that address belongs to. The provider tells us the company and never your name.
What we collect when you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, your company, your email address, your job title, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you and to work out whether there is a fit. We also link those details to the record of your visit, so we can see which pages you read before you wrote to us. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking first.
Why we hold it
We hold information about site visits because we have a legitimate interest in understanding how the site performs and who is interested in the work. We hold what you send through the contact form because you chose to send it and we need it to reply.
Who else sees it
Our analytics and visitor-identification providers each hold the data described above under their own terms. Our hosting provider handles the request when you open a page. Our CRM holds what you send through the contact form, and a spam-check provider screens the form before it sends. Ask us who these providers are and we will tell you.
How long we keep it
Session recordings are deleted after 30 days. Analytics events and contact form submissions are kept while they are useful to the business. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to these things. We will act on the request either way. Use the contact form and tell us what you want.
Cookies
Our analytics provider sets a cookie so that repeat visits count as the same visitor. Blocking cookies in your browser stops it. The site works the same either way.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we change this page and move the date at the top.
